I managed to get out of the house and down the road to the local library in time for the weekly breastfeeding group.
I was so nervous of attending, I entered the door and just stood there, holding Babychair in her car seat. Luckily the resident health visitor had seen shell shocked new mums before and came straight over and made me feel welcome. She found me a seat and ordered a cup of tea for me, which came in a neat safety cup, so I could drink my tea with Babychair on my knee with no worry about spills.
The other mums were very nice and friendly, all their babies were much older than our Babychair maybe around six months old. I was surprised at how big six month old babies are and how interactive and smiley they are.
Babychair slept the entire visit much to my relief and disappointment as breastfeeding in public is not my idea of a good time.
I think I'll try and make this group, a regular part of our Monday routine
